Player Party and Team Event
The 2nd Annual Road to Wimbledon takes on a NEW interactive element this year. In addition to being the social event of the summer where friends gather to celebrate the fabulous international field of talented women tennis players, party goers this year will add some friendly competition of their own to the evening.
16 teams of 4 will join the Player Party at Beertown in Waterloo where the top ranked women players vying for their share of the $50,000 prize money will gather after the first day of the main draw tennis.
Teams (of 4), formed in advance, will compete in a set of 10 fun, circuit-style challenges each 5 minutes in length. The challenges will be set up in Waterloo Square to the beat of some local live music. Along with an honorary ITF tournament player captain, teams will compete for a fantastic Rogers Cup Ticket package including 4 tennis racquets, 4 tickets to the Friday evening quarter final match and an exclusive behind the scene tour!
Team entry is $400 and includes dinner, drinks and the amazing team challenge. Teams will also have a chance to bid on a Rogers Cup weekend including tickets for 4 to the Saturday semi final matches, overnight hotel accommodations, tickets to the Sunday final match and a photo with the Rogers Cup winner! Proceeds from the evening will be donated to a local charity.
You can add as many cheerleaders to your team as you would like. The cost per cheerleader is $50.
